Edin Rose’s career looks very different in October 2026 from the one described in many older web-series lists.
She started gaining attention through Gandii Baat, later appeared in Bigg Boss 18, and received her first major South Indian film exposure alongside Ravi Teja in Ravanasura.
But 2026 has changed the scale of her filmography.
She appeared in Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi, made her Tamil film debut in Love Insurance Kompany, and is now part of Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2, which released theatrically on October 15, 2026.
There are also several incorrect credits circulating online.
Edin Rose is not listed in the official cast of ZEE5’s Pyaar Testing or JioHotstar’s Oops Ab Kya. Those two 2025 series should therefore be removed from her filmography unless stronger evidence emerges.

Public databases do not always agree on every early credit, so smaller web projects should be treated more cautiously than her better-documented film and television work.
Who Is Edin Rose?
Edin Rose is an Indian actress and model who was born and raised in Dubai before moving to India to pursue acting.
This corrects one common biography mistake – she was not born in Mumbai.
The Times of India describes her as Dubai-born and says she moved to India in 2020, while Variety India also identifies her as someone born to Indian parents and based in Dubai before building her acting career in India.
Her exact date of birth is less clear.
IMDb currently lists August 20, 1998, while another entertainment biography lists August 30, 1998.
Because reliable public sources disagree, I would avoid confidently publishing a specific birthday unless Edin herself confirms it.
The safer biography line is:
Edin Rose was born in August 1998 and raised in Dubai before moving to India to pursue acting.
Gandii Baat – Edin Rose as Vasudha
Edin’s early digital breakthrough came through Gandii Baat Season 4.
She appears in Season 4 Episode 2, titled Woh Saat Din, playing Vasudha. The episode was released in January 2020.
The story takes place in a village with a fictional tradition involving men and women temporarily switching conventional gender roles.
This was one of the first projects that made Edin’s name searchable in the Indian digital-entertainment space.
It is therefore accurate to call Gandii Baat one of her early web-series credits.
But her career after 2023 moved much more heavily toward films and reality television.
Help Me – Edin Rose as Aditi
Edin later appeared in the short film Help Me.
Independent filmography sources list her as Aditi opposite Siddhant Kapoor.
This belongs in her wider acting list, although it should not be described as a full web series.
That format distinction matters because many celebrity filmographies group short films, episodic series, music videos and feature films together under the term “web series.”
Ravanasura Gave Edin Her First Big South Indian Break
The biggest early change in Edin’s career came with Ravi Teja’s 2023 film Ravanasura.
She appeared alongside Ravi Teja in the song Dikka Dishum.
Saregama Telugu’s official credits specifically identify Edin Rose in connection with the film and the song.
In a 2026 interview, Edin herself described Ravanasura as her first real break in South Indian cinema.
She said Hyderabad remained special to her because it was where her film journey began.
That makes Ravanasura more important to her career than simply calling it another dance appearance.
It was the project that helped move her from niche digital work toward larger Telugu and Tamil productions.
Bigg Boss 18 Changed Her National Visibility
One of the biggest omissions from the original filmography is Bigg Boss 18.
Edin entered the Salman Khan-hosted reality show as a wildcard contestant in November 2024 alongside Yamini Malhotra and Aditi Mistry.
She remained in the house until December 2024, when she and Yamini were eliminated during a double eviction.
Bigg Boss was not an acting project, but it became an important career bridge.
Before the show, audiences primarily associated Edin with Gandii Baat and Ravanasura.
After Bigg Boss 18, entertainment coverage increasingly began following her upcoming South Indian films.
That makes the progression clearer:
digital acting -> Telugu film exposure -> national reality television -> larger South Indian film roles
Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi – Reunion With Ravi Teja
Edin reunited with Ravi Teja in Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi.
The Telugu film released in January 2026 and was directed by Kishore Tirumala. IMDb includes Edin among the cast.
Her contribution was connected particularly with the Karthika Deepam remix.
Edin spoke publicly about recreating the spirit of the song associated with Sridevi, saying she approached it as a tribute rather than trying to replace the original performance.
Moneycontrol also reported before release that Edin reunited with Ravi Teja for the special song.
This was effectively a continuation of the screen association that started with Dikka Dishum in Ravanasura.
Where to Watch Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi
The movie is currently streaming on ZEE5 in India.
ZEE5 lists the Telugu film with Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada language options as well.
Love Insurance Kompany – Edin Rose’s Tamil Debut
Love Insurance Kompany, commonly shortened to LIK, became another important 2026 project.
Directed by Vignesh Shivan, the futuristic romantic comedy stars Pradeep Ranganathan, Krithi Shetty and S.J. Suryah.
Edin plays a humanoid character connected romantically with S.J. Suryah’s Suriyan.
Hindustan Times described her as playing a humanoid in the movie, while Variety India identified the character as Selena and described her as Suriyan’s romantic interest.
The film released on April 10, 2026.
This was more significant than the original article suggests because it marked Edin’s proper entry into Tamil cinema.
Edin Rose Actually Researched AI for Love Insurance Kompany
There is also a more interesting performance detail.
Because her character is artificial rather than fully human, Edin said she researched how artificial intelligence might process emotions.
Instead of simply playing the character as robotic, she tried to understand how a humanoid could imitate human emotional behaviour while still feeling different from an ordinary person.
That gives LIK a more useful place in her career than simply listing the title.
Ravanasura showcased her dancing.
Bigg Boss showcased her personality.
LIK required her to play a defined fictional character within a large commercial film.
Jailer 2 Is No Longer an Upcoming Movie
This is the biggest correction needed for an October 2026 article.
Jailer 2 is not upcoming anymore.
The Rajinikanth film released theatrically on October 15, 2026. It is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures.
Edin Rose is part of the cast.
Pre-release reporting from Variety India said she had spent around a month filming the movie and described her as playing a feisty city-bred woman in a role expected to be more substantial than her brief LIK appearance.
Post-release cast databases provide a more specific credit.
Plex and Moviefone currently identify Edin Rose as one of Roddy’s henchwomen.
That is important because it separates pre-release publicity from the role audiences can now actually see.
Edin Rose Performed Her Own Jailer 2 Stunts
The original article is on stronger ground here.
Reports published before release said Edin performed her own action sequences for Jailer 2 without using a body double.
The coverage also connects that physical work with her existing interest in combat training.
Edin has spoken about doing martial arts and heavy weight training, while more recent reports say she has trained in boxing and samurai sword fighting and has explored MMA and katana work.
This makes Jailer 2 a genuine change in how she is presented on screen.
Her earlier visibility came largely through modelling, songs, reality television and glamorous roles.
Jailer 2 adds an action-oriented credit.
That does not automatically make her an “action icon” yet, but it does show a new direction in her career.
Jailer 2 Has Already Released – And Become a Major 2026 Film
Jailer 2 opened on October 15.
By October 21, Moneycontrol reported that the film had crossed ₹540 crore worldwide after six days, based on the box-office data available at that time.
That puts Edin inside the biggest production of her career so far in terms of scale and visibility.
The important distinction is that she is part of a very large ensemble.
Current theatrical listings give top billing to Rajinikanth, S.J. Suryah, Vidya Balan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Ramya Krishnan, Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar among others.
So the accurate wording is:
Jailer 2 is Edin Rose’s biggest film credit to date.
Not:
Edin Rose is one of the lead stars of Jailer 2.
Pyaar Testing Is Not an Edin Rose Web Series
This is a clear correction.
The original draft lists Pyaar Testing among Edin Rose’s 2025 OTT projects.
ZEE5’s official page does not list her.
The series stars Satyajeet Dubey as Dhruv and Plabita Borthakur as Amrita, with supporting performers including Amit Munjal, Neelu Dogra, Gaurav Sikri and Namrata Senani Garg.
There is no reliable current cast evidence connecting Edin Rose with Pyaar Testing.
Remove it from her filmography.
Oops Ab Kya Is Also Not an Edin Rose Credit
The same applies to Oops Ab Kya.
The 2025 series stars Shweta Basu Prasad, Aashim Gulati, Jaaved Jaaferi, Sonali Kulkarni, Apara Mehta, Abhay Mahajan and Amy Aela.
Edin Rose is not listed in the current cast credits.
So the claim that Oops Ab Kya was one of her latest Disney+ Hotstar projects should also be removed.
This is exactly why celebrity filmographies need to be checked title by title instead of copied from other actress-list pages.
What About Delivery Boy Pizza on Time?
This credit is complicated.
IMDb and ShemarooMe currently list an actress named Edin Rose in the 2026 movie Delivery Boy Pizza on Time alongside Mugdha Godse and Pradeep Nagar.
However, an IMDb community correction specifically claimed the performer was a different actress with the same or similar name. IMDb declined the requested removal at that time.
Because the identity is disputed, I would not place Delivery Boy Pizza on Time in Edin Rose’s main verified filmography yet.
A cautious article can mention the database conflict without treating the credit as settled fact.
Did Edin Rose Start Her Career in Mumbai?
Not exactly.
She moved from Dubai to India to pursue acting and modelling.
Reporting from The Telegraph says she relocated from Dubai to Mumbai at around age 20, while the Times of India says she moved to India in 2020.
So the cleaner description is:
Edin was raised in Dubai and later relocated to India to pursue acting.
Is Edin Rose Working on a New Web Series?
There is some evidence of another streaming project, but not enough to confidently describe it as a confirmed late-2026 release.
In an October 2024 interview, Edin said she was working as the lead in a Bollywood web series.
In another interview from that period, she said she was shooting for an Amazon Prime series.
However, I could not verify a title, official cast announcement or 2026 release date for that project.
So remove the claim:
“She will lead a new female-centric action series on a major global streamer by late 2026.”
That is currently too specific for the available evidence.
The safer wording is:
Edin has previously said she was working on another streaming series, but its title and release status have not been publicly confirmed.
Edin Rose Career in Three Phases
2020-2022 – Digital Beginnings
Gandii Baat introduced her to OTT audiences.
Projects such as Help Me and other smaller digital appearances followed.
2023-2024 – South Cinema and Reality TV
Ravanasura gave her a notable Telugu film opportunity alongside Ravi Teja.
Bigg Boss 18 then increased her recognition beyond regional-film audiences.
2026 – Her Biggest Film Year Yet
Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi reunited her with Ravi Teja.
Love Insurance Kompany became her Tamil debut.
Jailer 2 brought her into a Rajinikanth film and gave her an action-oriented role.
That is the real career shift worth writing about.
Where to Watch Edin Rose’s Work
Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi is available on ZEE5.
Jailer 2 is currently in theatres following its October 15, 2026 release.
Love Insurance Kompany has completed its theatrical release cycle, but viewers should check current legal streaming listings for regional availability.
Gandii Baat Season 4 is currently listed by JustWatch as unavailable for legal streaming in India.
Streaming rights change frequently, so official platforms and current aggregators should be checked before subscribing.
Quick Fact Check
Edin Rose was born in Mumbai.
Current reporting more strongly supports Dubai as her birthplace and place of upbringing.
Her birthday is definitely August 30, 1998.
Not completely verified. Public databases disagree between August 20 and August 30, although 1998 is commonly listed.
Edin Rose stars in Pyaar Testing.
No reliable current cast listing supports this. ZEE5 lists Satyajeet Dubey and Plabita Borthakur as the principal stars.
Edin Rose appears in Oops Ab Kya.
The official promotional cast and current IMDb credits do not list her.
Jailer 2 is an upcoming Edin Rose movie.
Outdated. It released on October 15, 2026.
Edin Rose performed her own Jailer 2 stunts.
Multiple October 2026 reports state that she performed her action sequences without a body double.
Edin plays a robot in Love Insurance Kompany.
Yes. Reporting around the April 2026 release describes her character as a humanoid connected to S.J. Suryah’s Suriyan.
You Should Read This
The biggest mistake in describing Edin Rose’s career is continuing to call her primarily a web-series actress.
That may have made sense after Gandii Baat.
It does not describe where her career stands now.
Her most important recent projects are films.
Ravanasura gave her a first major opportunity in Telugu cinema.
Bigg Boss 18 dramatically increased public familiarity with her name.
Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi brought her back alongside Ravi Teja.
Love Insurance Kompany moved her into Tamil cinema with an actual character role.
And Jailer 2 has now placed her inside a Rajinikanth franchise while also allowing her to show the martial-arts training she had been discussing before the film.
The progression is therefore less:
“web-series actress becomes OTT star”
and more:
“digital debut -> Telugu film break -> Bigg Boss visibility -> Tamil cinema -> Rajinikanth action film.”
That is a much stronger and more accurate 2026 story.
